Burn Ban information for the Skykomish Area
Effective 8/7 King County FPD#50 will issue a level 2 burn ban. This is no outdoor burning. Best place to find our fire district burn ban status is our website at skykomishfire50.com.
DO NOT burn:
ANY outdoor fires, including recreational and ceremonial fires
OK to use:
Manufactured portable outdoor devices* like…
Gas and charcoal grills
Natural gas or propane appliances like patio warmers
Wood pellet smokers
*Follow manufacturer’s recommendations
No combustible vegetation within 10 feet
Used coals must be disposed of properly:
Douse with water.
When cool enough to handle, put the coals into a metal container.
Seal the container with a tight-fitting lid.
After the coals have thoroughly cooled, they may be put into a regular trash bin.
